Reflection for Day 2 (27 May 2015)

I have done 2 activities today. One is the bottle seperation machine and The Bicycle electricity generator. The bottle seperation machine was a very cool activity because it can separate 4 different bottles (Plastic, Glass, Aluminium & Steel). The bottle will first slide down the slide onto a metal levatating platform and there are magnets there to attract steel bottles. Then, the bottle will slide down on the left of the levatating platform into a hole for the aluminium can. A "whacker" is there to make the plastic and aluminium bottles to move down. The bicycle electricity generator uses the wheel's of the bicycle to produce electricity.

Throughout the course of the day, we have met many problems and we used the problems to identify solutions to our problems. I have learned to solve problems with my team. I feel very happy and satisfied with what I have done today. The project has made me understand the concepts of how to make a putt putt boat and it can be applied when I make a boat in the future. 

Currently, I do not have any pressing questions.

Reflection for Day 1 (26 May 2015)

I have made the engines of the putt putt boat. My group is making the putt putt boat and the engine. I have learned that even the Coke can be used to make the engine. The coke cans material can be folded and made into our "engine". I have also learnt to work in a team (teamwork) and manage our time. I feel very tired because of the hard hands-on work and felt satisfied and happy about what I done today. The project had made me learnt to be a more hands-on person and to develop my cutting skills. Today morning, we have our 1 hour briefing on the various projects and it made us understand the insights of the projects that we are going to do. Then, for the whole day we did the project on putt putt boat. Overall, today was a fun and fruitful day.

This project is interesting because I have never seen a putt-putt engine. I feel that if I join this project, I can get to learn many interesting things about the putt-putt engine. I think I can learn how to build a putt-putt engine and see the mechanics that work inside it. How does a putt-putt engine works?
